Browsing the site

We don't use cookies, ads or third-party analytics, and you don't need an account.

To see how the site is used, we count page views, clicks on links to other sites and how often Add your site is opened. These are daily totals only: we don't store your IP address or anything else that could identify you.

Like every website, our host (Vercel) receives your IP address and browser details when it serves a page, and keeps short-lived logs to run and protect the site. Our fonts load from Google Fonts, so your browser also connects to Google when the page opens.

Adding your site

When you add a site we store the website URL, tool name, short description, category and pricing you enter, plus the address of the page where you placed the badge. Your listing shows the URL, name, description, pricing and vote count publicly once the badge check passes.

To keep listings honest, our checker visits that badge page when you submit and again once a day. If the badge is missing on two checks in a row, the listing is taken down. A removed or unfinished submission stays in our database until you ask us to delete it.

Voting

To allow one vote per person per listing, we store a hashed form of your IP address with each vote, never the address itself. Your browser also remembers which listings you voted for, in its own local storage on your device. Clearing your browser data removes that.

Where data is kept

Listings and votes are stored with Supabase, our database provider, and the site is hosted by Vercel. We don't sell or share your data with anyone else, and we don't use it for advertising.

Links to other sites

The rankings link to tools run by other companies. Their own privacy policies apply once you leave MagpieSEO.

Your choices

Email chatter@magpieseo.com to see what we hold about your listing, correct it, or have it deleted. We'll reply as soon as we can.

If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date at the top.
